The 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is a superbike style motorcycle powered by a 599cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four valves per cylinder, inline-four engine paired with DFI® with four 38mm Keihin throttle bodies, oval sub-throttles, two injectors per throttle body fuel injection system and six speed transmission system generating 94.1 kW maximum power at 14,000 rpm and 66.7 N.m maximum torque at 11,800 rpm. The 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R features: Showa’s BPF (Big Piston Front fork), triple petal disc brake package with radial calipers and radial-pump master cylinder, and a highly effective slipper clutch; New ignition coils have 12% greater secondary coil current for improved combustion efficiency, adding to the improved performance; Revised front brake hose routing with a three-way joint at the lower triple-clamp facilitates bleeding air from the brake lines; and many more advanced technologies.
