The 2011 Chevrolet Equinox LS is an entry level trim, 5-passenger compact / midsize SUV crossover. It boasts a premium exterior and interior, serene cabin with ample storage bins, and adjustable backseat. Front seats have 10-inch of travel to accommodate drivers of different sizes, the rear MultiFlex seat offer 8-inch of travel (plus slides and reclines), and at the back, there’s room for 31 cu.ft. of cargo with all seats up. It’s standard in front wheel drive, while AWD is available optionally. It gets its power from a 182 hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder direct injection engine, mated to a six-speed automatic. Zero to 60 mph sprint is timed at just below 9 seconds, and EPA fuel efficiency estimate is a respectable 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Ride is stable with4-wheel independent suspension with front/rear gas pressurized shock absorber. This base Chevy Equinox LS model comes equipped with 17” alloy wheels, cruise control, air conditioning, tilt/telescopic steering column, power accessories, 6-speaker stereo (with CD player, auxiliary jack, and satellite radio), and OnStar system.
