Ford Escape was jointly developed with Mazda and uses a CD2 platform. Now on its second generation, the 174.7 inches long compact SUV has a more attractive styling cues and features. The mid-level trim of the 2011 Ford Escape is the XLT. It can be had in front wheel or all wheel drive. It is powered by a 2.5-Liter I4 iVCT engine, that produces 171 hp at 6000 rpm and 171 lb.ft. of torque at 4500 rpm, capable of bringing the vehicle from stop to 60 mph in 8.3 seconds. The 2011 Escape XLT comes standard with 4-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, independent rear suspension, manual air conditioning, six-way power driver’s seat, 60/40 split-fold rear bench seat, eco-friendly post industrial material seats, tilt steering wheel with cruise and audio control, satellite radio, Ice Blue™ interior lighting, keyless entry keypad, auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic headlights, fog lamps, and 16” wheels.
