The 2011 Honda CR-Z 6M Base is a stylish and fun, gas-electric hybrid sport coupe designed for more young spirited driver. It receives a Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) mild-hybrid system. A total power output of 122 hp and 128 lb.ft. of torque is generated by combining a 1.5L 16-valves in-line 4-cylinder (I-4) gas engine with 13 hp Permanent Magnet AC Synchronous electric motor that uses NiMH battery as power storage. Built base on the CRX platform, it is front-drive with two doors and only two seats. One highlight is its manual transmission (six speed with hill-start assist) that are rarely applied to hybrids. Fuel efficiency rating is marked at 31 mpg city and 37 mpg highway drive. This entry-level CR-Z comes standard with automatic climate control, automatic headlight, 16” alloy wheels, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, driver’s seat manual height adjustment, silver mesh fabric sport seats, full power accessories, retractable cargo cover, and 160 watt 6-speaker sound system. Also available are 17” performance tires.
