The 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS is a 5-passenger family sedan that displays a “fluidic” design, with a pinched nose, sculpted creases, raked windshield and rear window, and short trunk lid. With the sleek, stylish exterior comes a plush cabin and plenty of convenience features. The Sonata GLS base model comes equipped with keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, trip computer, full power accessories, 60-40 split rear seat, tilt-telescoping steering wheel, six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, 16” steel wheels, and heated side mirror. Under the hood is a 2.4-Liter Theta II gasoline-direct injection Inline 4-cylinder engine with continuously variable valve timing and variable induction, that churns out 198 hp and 184 lb-ft. of peak torque. Using a six-speed gearbox, fuel economy is a class leading 24 mpg urban driving and 35 mpg on the highway. The sedan marks 8 seconds start to 60 mph performance time, and 128 ft. of stopping distance from 60 mph run.
