The 2011 Jaguar XJ / XJL Supercharged is a full-size luxury sedan with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Its engine is a powerful 470 hp Supercharged gas V8 – 8-cylinder, 4-valves per cylinders. The compact Root-type supercharger with high-helix rotor have been said to improve thermodynamic efficiency. 424 ft-lbs of torque at 2500 rpm could be generated by the engine, propelling the car from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
