1958 Honda Super Cub C100 Specs and Features

The Honda Super Cub C100 (also known as Honda 50) was first produced by Honda Motor Company in August 1958. It was powered by 49cc air-cooled 4-stroke, single-cylinder OHV engine, producing 4.5 horse power. In 1959, the Super Cub C100 began to export to U.S. and only one year after that the cumulative production reached 1 million-unit. (image from: motorcycle.com)
In 1964, two larger engines versions were offered, the CM90 (OHV 87cc) and C65 (OHC 63cc) with slight alterations to frame and styling. and in 1967, the whole motorcycle was upgraded, the 50cc engine pushed rod 4.5bhp replaced by SOHC 4.9bhp (a bored-down C65 engine) called the C50, and similarly the 90cc was upgraded with an OHC engine called the C90.
