The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen S runs on a 2.5-liter in-line 5-cylinder 20-valves gas engine, capable of producing 170 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The engine is composed of a cast iron cylinder block, cross flow aluminum alloy head and steel crank shaft with six main bearings. Standard transmission is a 5-speed manual. Driving is responsive as it sits lower to the ground with a 5.4 in. ground clearance.
