The 2011 Ducati Superbike 1198 SP is an exclusive and high performing sport motorcycle. It sports an aerodynamic bodywork with sleek lines and race developed fairing. It all fits in together to excel on the track, including with employment of weight saving magnesium subframe that provides a construction which secures support for headlamp, instruments, and fairing, and utilizes black 7-spoke lightweight, forged-aluminium, machine-finished wheels by Marchesini. Engine is a 170 hp 90° L-Twin that displaces 1198 cc. The SP edition receives further refinement and upgrades including an aluminum tank, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) electronic system that lets the rider keep throttle open when changing up the gear box, and dry slipper clutch. Standard is traction control and Ducati Data Analysis (DDA) software. Exclusive of the 1198 SP mode is the Moto GP inspired rear Öhlins suspension with TTXR twin tube technology that provides totally separate damping adjustment in compression and rebound.
