2011 Ducati Hypermotard 796 Specs, Engine Features, and Overview

The 2011 Ducati Hypermotard 796 is an aggressive motard styled motorcycle, combining lightweight bodywork and minimalist look with Ducati’s sportbike technology. It’s appearance shows off high front fender adapted from off-road bikes, dual under-seat silencers at the rear end, low seat with upright seating position, a wide tubular handlebar, and 17” Enkei wheels. The Hypermotard 796 receives a punchy 803cc air-cooled L-Twin SOHC engine mated to a 6-speed transmission, delivering 81 hp @ 8000 rpm and 55 lb.ft. of peak torque @ 6250 rpm. Crankshaft uses a light 848 type flywheel. Brembo master cylinders are employed for the brake system and clutch. The clutch provide a light lever action and is fitted with 4-point adjustable levers. Other key features include the flipped mirror handguard assembly that integrates LED directional indicator to achieve a clean look, compact headlamp incorporated into the single piece nose fairing, and digital gauge display unit that is equipped with recorded lap timer.
