2011 Ducati Superbike 848 Evo (base) Specs, Engine Features, and Overivew

The 2011 Ducati 848 Evo is a middleweight superbike, motored by a 894 cc, Liquid-cooled, 90° L-Twin that gets a bump to its power output to 140 hp with 73.3 lb.ft. of maximum torque at 9750 rpm. Notable is its increase fuel injection throttle body size to 60 mm, and a high compression ratio of 13.2 to 1. The rpm redline is a massive 11300 rpm. The Testastretta Evoluzione engine is combined with a lightweight chassis, giving a curb weight of about 425 lbs. Stronger stopping power is given by the one-piece Brembo monobloc caliper design biting down on twin rotors with radial mount master cylinder and steel brake lines. Suspension receives a non-adjustable steering damper horizontally mounted between fuel tank and top triple clamp. Other features that comes with the motorcycle include twin under-seat silencers, single-sided swingarm, horizontal twin polly-ellipsoidal headlamps, mirror extension kit, GP-derived digital instrumentation, stopwatch function, and beautiful race bodywork. It also comes in a new Dark Stealth paint scheme.
