The 2011 Harley-Davidson Softail® Fat Boy® has been around since 1990 and continues its legendary fat custom style resembling the “hard tail” choppers, with rear wheel suspension hidden behind transmission. It’s a big boned, heavyweight motorcycle on a low-slung Softail frame, with a claimed 94 ft.lbs. of maximum torque at 3000 rpm, produced by the 1584cc Twin Cam 96B™ Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection engine. The 6th speed of its’ Cruise Drive® gearbox will come in handy on rides over 70 mph. This cruiser is notable for its’ solid ride and beefy appearance, given partly by the fat 140 mm front and 200 mm rear tires, 31° mounted fat front forks, and a huge 7-inch balls chrome headlamps. New for 2011 are larger tank-mounted odometer reading with added information such as gear and RPM data, odometer trip switch, and fewer wires on the hand control. ABS brake technology and Smart Security with hands free fobs are also available as options. Other features include 1.25 in. chrome handlebars, 25 in. low two-piece two-up bullet-studded seat with detachable pinion, chrome mosquito nets and rope tank, full length rider foot board, silver bullet hole disc wheels, and chrome over/under shotgun exhaust.
