The 2011 BMW K 1300 S is a European sport motorcycle that adapts touring ergonomic riding position for everyday suitability. It is styled with a sizeable headlight, steep windshield, full fairing, sharp lines, angular fuel tank, comprehensive instrument cluster, and a one piece two-up saddle for rider and passenger. The 1293cc in-line 4-cylinder dual cam shaft powerplant produces a claimed 175 bhp and 103 pound-feet of torque at 8250 rpm. The bike handles well, using Duolever front suspension and Paralever two-stage driveshaft at the rear that helps reduces chassis up-down movement during acceleration or deceleration. BMW K1300S comes standard with part-integral Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) safety feature. Option include ESA II (electronic suspension adjustment), Stability Control (ASC), and HP gearshift assistant that allows smooth, clutchless, full throttle upshift.
