2011 BMW R 1200 R Classic Specs, Engine Feature, and Overview

The 2011 BMW R 1200 R combines classic motorcycle design with modern sportiness and performance. The new 1170 cc boxer Flat Twin engine has two overhead camshaft in each cylinder, rated 110 bhp and 88 lb.ft. of torque. This bike shares the same mechanical characteristic with the R 1200 R having electronically controlled exhaust flap, new smoke glass look hydraulic reservoirs, and redesigned cockpits. Brake system is a front double disc and rear disc with optional ABS. The BMW R 1200 R Classic gets classic roadster look from its wire spoke wheels with light alloy flat collar rims, metallic sapphire black paint scheme with plain strip over the tank and front wheel cover, and plenty of silver colored accents including the chrome plated exhaust / silencer and mirror.
