The 2009 Kawasaki Versys is a streetbike/ sportbike style motorcycle powered by 649cc, four-stroke, liquid cooled, DOHC, four-valve per cylinder, parallel twin engine combined with Digital fuel injection with two 38mm Keihin throttle bodies fuel system and Six-speed transmission system generating maximum power of 47 kW {64 PS} at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 61 N·m {6.2 kgf·m} at 6,800 rpm. The 2009 Kawasaki Versys features: Digital Fuel Injection (DFI®) system which utilizes 38mm Keihin throttle bodies with ECU controlled sub throttle valves for optimum performance and rideability; Digital Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) System; Cassette style transmission; High Tensile Steel Trellis Frame; Single Shock Rear Suspension; and many more advanced technologies.
