The 2011 BMW F 800 R is an attractive medium naked bike that seats two people on its two-up 31.5-in. low saddle (adjustable to raise by 1 inch). It gets its power from a water-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-cylinder DOHC engine that generates 87 hp and 63 pound-feet of torque delivered through a six-speed constant mesh transmission. The motorcycle has a new throttle valve kinematic system and achieves good sprinting power. The compact engine gives a slim waist and the fuel tank located beneath the seat contributes to a more distributed weight. Rider is positioned in an upright stance with an aluminum handlebar that has a good rearward sweep. Instrumentation comprised of a stacked tacho and speedometer with LCD display. The bike also sports a unique compact headlight cluster (a rectangular and a mini round lens) and 17” wheels. Fuel consumption is rated an economical 65.34 mpg. This BMW F800 R roadster uses 43 mm front fork and rear twin sided swingarm with adjustable shock / spring preload and adjustable rebound damping.
