The 2011 Suzuki RM-Z450 is a 249 lbs. FIM/AMA Supercross Championship winner off-road motocrosser, motored by a 449 cc water-cooled single cylinder DOHC engine. It uses 5-speed constant mesh gearbox with a light clutch pull. Performance is consistent across fast laps, the torque chart shows a slight down movement off the bottom before climbing to the mid-range and strats to sign off at around 7500 rpm. Handling offers good steering control. The bike is fine tuned to include new less-noisier muffler and exhaust pipe to comply with 94db AMA noise limits, higher compression ratio of 12.5 to 1, revised intake and exhaust timing of the fuel injection, and changed ECU setting.
