The 2011 Acura TSX 2.4 (Base) is a premium branded, front-wheel drive, 5-seats compact sedan that sports a contemporary outward appearance featuring wide silver colored upper grille, a reversed trapezoidal air dam at the bumper, thin and stretched xenon headlamps cluster, and large fender flares above the 17” silver alloy wheels. Under the hood lies the 2.4-Liter 16-valve four-cylinder DOHC, i-VTEC® engine hooked to a slick-shifting six-speed manual gearbox. Power output is rated 201 hp and 172 lb.ft. of torque. It achieves a respectable 21 mpg urban driving and 29 miles per gallon range on the highway. The cabin is serene, well packed with comfort and convenience amenities, and fitted with a dense center stack. The entry-level Acura TSX 2.4 comes standard with keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, sunroof, Bluetooth, 7-speaker audio, tilt/telescoping steering column, leather upholstery, heated front seats, 8-way power driver seat with memory function, 4-way power passenger seat, 60/40 split folding rear seatback, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and foglights.
The 2011 Acura TL AWD 3.7 is a sport oriented 4-door 5-passenger luxury sedan. It sports a controversial edgy look with wide bodywork, large metallic beak grille, a sloping roof line at the rear that ends short on its tail, and dual exhaust finishers. This top TL trim level gets a high-tech Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) that is capable of transferring power to individual wheels to suit different conditions. It also highlights a more powerful engine – a 3.7-Liter V6 that churns out 305-horsepower and 273 lb.ft. of peak torque. Standard gearbox is a 5-speed automatic with sequential sport shift. Alternatively, a 6-speed manual is also offered. The sedan returns 20 mpg combined. Features exclusive to the Acura TL AWD 3.7 includes deep bolstered front seats with unique contrast leather stitching, sport-tuned suspension, electro-mechanical limited slip differential, and 18” alloy wheels.
