2011 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom The 2011 Harley-Davidson Sportster® 1200 Custom moves from the Sportster® 1200 platform, and put on a wider front end, pull-back handlebar, forward mounted controls, re-shaped LED tail lamp, 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels, and thicker chunkier Michelin® Scorcher™ tires that necessitates the wider fork spacing, polished triple clamp and re-tuned suspension.  This masculine and contemporary looking bike is driven by a 1200cc air-cooled Evolution® V-Twin powertrain, mated to a 5-speed transmission that delivers 79 ft.lbs. of torque.  The 4-stroke engine is rubber mounted to reduce vibration, with OHV pushrod valve configuration.  Rear suspension travel is a good 2.12 in., with 4.4 in. of ground clearance.  If all that authentic style is not enough, standard look can still be modified to customer preference, since H-D offers H-D1 factory customization including paint choice, chrome or black engine cover, three handlebar option (Pull-back, Drag, or Mini Ape bars), and two seat design choices.
