The 2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 has been fine-tuned and engineered for the race tracks. Its 999 cc four-cylinder engine uses high quality titanium valves, forged pistons, shot peened conrods, and large intake and exhaust valves for the combustion chamber. Power output is rated at an impressive 182 hp and maximum torque at 86 lb.ft. It’s got an oversquare bore and stroke for optimum performance at high rpm. Fuel injection features Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) with iridium spark plugs. This bike receives a 6-speed gearbox that incorporates cable operated clutch with Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS). It’s SAES exhaust system employs under engine chamber with low slung, large volume titanium mufflers. Other highlights include three system maps provided by Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS), trapezoidal-shaped radiator, and lightweight big Showa piston forks with fully adjustable link type rear suspension – both oil damped and uses coil spring.
