Ford expedition XL The 2011 Ford Expedition XL is the entry-level in it’s full-size SUV line.  The vehicle seats eight and has 18 cu.ft. of cargo room behind the 3nd row.  It’s powetrain is a tough 5.4-Liter three valve per cylinder flex fuel V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic, churning out 310 hp and 365 lb.ft. of torque and propelling the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in 8.9 seconds.  This engine allows refueling with E85 ethanol fuel blends, with consumption at 14 mpg city / 20 mpg highway. It has independent rear suspension, uncommon in its segment, with front/rear gas charged shocks.  Standard equipments include automatic headlights, fog lights, roof rack, running board, cloth upholstery, auto-dimming rear view mirror, cruise control, and 6-speaker stereo.  Safety is a priority, having traction control with roll-stability and trailer sway control, three row side air curtains technology, dual front airbags with front passenger sensor system, and MyKey programmable vehicle key.  Expedition is available in 4X2 or 4X4 drivetrain, and a longer body EL model.
