The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze ECO GM’s fuel economy focused compact sedan that provides enough room for five passengers plus 15 cubic-feet of trunk space. It achieves a laudable high mileage of 28 mpg urban driving and 42 mpg on the highway. Powertrain is a 1.4-Liter Turbo In-line Four-cylinder Ecotec engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Fuel efficiency optimization is done by improving aerodynamic, through open/closing flap or shutters behind the lower grille, front fascia air dam, rear spoiler, employment of different gearing, use of lightweight aluminum alloy wheels, low-rolling resistance tires, and smaller 12.6-gallon fuel tank. Standard equipment is similar to the base LS model.
