2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 The 2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 has been fine-tuned and engineered for the race tracks.  Its 999 cc four-cylinder engine uses high quality titanium valves, forged pistons, shot peened conrods, and large intake and exhaust valves for the combustion chamber.  Power output is rated at an impressive 182 hp and maximum torque at 86 lb.ft.  It’s got an oversquare bore and stroke for optimum performance at high rpm.  Fuel injection features Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) with iridium spark plugs.  This bike receives a 6-speed gearbox that incorporates cable operated clutch with Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS).  It’s SAES exhaust system employs under engine chamber with low slung, large volume titanium mufflers.  Other highlights include three system maps provided by Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS), trapezoidal-shaped radiator, and lightweight big Showa piston forks with fully adjustable link type rear suspension – both oil damped and uses coil spring.  New for 2011, GSX-R1000 is offered in Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Spash White, and Solid Black/Metallic Mat Titanium Silver color scheme

2009 suzuki gsx-r1000 The 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 is a sportbike style motorcycle powered by an 999 cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine combined with 6-speed, constant mesh manual transmission system. The 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 features: Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) for light clutch pull and optimum clutch performance; Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) system which uses two butterfly valves in each throttle body barrel, the primary valve controlled by the rider via the twist grip and the secondary valve controlled by the ECM; Engine managements Idle Speed Control (ISC) improves cold starting, reduces cold start emissions and stabilizes engine idle under various conditions by automatically regulating the volume of fresh air fed into the throttle body circuits, based on coolant temperature; Suzuki Advanced Exhaust System (SAES) incorporates staggered length titanium head pipes, a collector, a short mid pipe and a stainless steel under engine chamber that leads to two Moto GP inspired titanium mufflers; Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) servo controlled butterfly valve built into the mid pipe helps maximize torque throughout the RPM range.
