The 2011 Yamaha VMAX is a big, brawling power cruiser with muscular stance and sporty handling. It’s powertrain applies the latest electronic engine management technology. The 1679 cc V-Four 16 valve DOHC engine features forged aluminum pistons and NGK® Iridium spark plugs with R1-type direct ignition coils. Mikuni fuel injection system uses four 48mm throttle bodies fitted with Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), enhancing performance to improve fuel economy, reduce emission, and achieve good throttle response. Power is rated a massive 197 hp, while peak torque is 123 ft.lbs. at 6500 rpm. Front fork and rear suspension are remote adjustable for preload, compression and rebound. The rear side is equipped with single shock with remote reservoir. Dual wave-type discs front and single disc rear brakes with Brembo master cylinder provide strong stopping power. Equipments include 1” diameter tapered low rise handlebar, handlebar mounted instrument panel including analog tacho and digital speedo, and 200 mm fat radial rear tire.
