2012 Yamaha Super Ténéré is a rally inspired adventure touring motorcycle, having a streetibike platform fused with touring and off-road design. Engine is a compact liquid cooled 1199 cc parallel twin DOHC mounted 26 degrees forward that compresses fuel to a ratio of 11 to 1, and pumps out over 80 ft.lb. of torque. Features include a wide ratio 6-speed transmission, YCC-T optimum throttle control and acceleration, traction control, and full-time Anti-lockhield Brakes (ABS) and unified braking. Other specification includes an adjustable rider’s seat height with removable passenger seat, dual cat-eye projector headlamps, adjustable rugged tapered standard handlebar, double T type front wheel rim, 19” front and 17” rear radial tires, 30 liter top box atop a multi-function plastic resin rear rack, built in storage under the passenger seat, 12V DC outlet, one-piece comprehensive instrumentation, and 2-into-1 exhaust with compact elliptical short design muffler with heat shield.
