The 2011 Ford Mustang GT Coupe is powered by an impressive all-aluminum 5.0-Liter V8 engine with four valve heads, featuring Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (TiVCT), cold air induction, and a more efficient High-Energy Coil-on-Plug design spark plugs. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, delivering 412 hp and 390 lb.ft. of peak torque, and propels it from 0 to 60 mph at a fast 4.5 seconds. Slalom speed is rated at 67.3 mpg. Other performance upgrade is a new lower control arm suspension and tighter stabilizer bar bushing for improved handling, and an electric power steering.
