The 2011 Hyundai Veracruz GLS is a 7-passenger front-wheel drive sports utility vehicle, with a car-like unibody construction. 190.6-inch long, it provides three-row seating, plenty of storage space plus 13.4 cubic-feet of cargo. Outside, it sports less rugged body lines, dual chrome exhaust outlet, 17” alloy wheels, and rear spoiler. Inside, the cabin is quiet and offers premium-like amenities. Engine is a 260 horsepower 3.8-Liter V6 with continuously variable valve timing, paired to a six speed automatic transmission with Shiftronic. With a four-wheel independent suspension and gas-pressurized shock absorbers, driving feel is smooth and stable. In terms of safety, the car performs very well, getting a 5 out of 5 stars in US’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration collision test. The 2011 Veracruz GLS base level comes well equipped with standard features including three-beam projector-style automatic headlights, fog lights, heated side mirrors, backup warning system, cruise control, rear climate control and vents, 4-spoke tilt/telescoping steering wheel, driver’s power adjustable lumbar support, cloth seat surface, woodgrain interior accent, and 6-speaker stereo (along with CD player, satellite radio, aux jack, and USB/iPod outlet). The Hyundai Veracruz GLS can also be acquired in all-wheel drive that comes with heated front seats, and a Premium package that adds extra accessories.
