The 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa™ is an ultimate, high performing sportbike for the serious rider. Power is generated by a 1340cc, 16-valves, in-line, DOHC engine equipped with Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (TSCC). With a large 12.5 to 1 compression ratio, this liquid cooled engine achieves power output of 195 horsepower, pushing a top speed of 296 km/h. Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system functions to ignite unburned hydrocarbons and reduces CO2 emissions. The optimized 6-speed transmission gets oil spray to the 4th, 5th and 6th gears to reduce wear and mechanical noise, and equipped with Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS). The bike is constructed with a lightweight, rigid, and high torsion strength twin-spar aluminum frame, along with a bridged alloy swingarm with cross-sectional shape. The DLC (Diamond-Like Coating) coated inner tubes forks and rear shock absorber are fully adjustable. Other highlights include three setting S-DMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector), aerodynamic bodywork, vertical twin headlights, LED taillight, comprehensive instrument panels featuring four analog meters, 4-2-1-2 exhaust system, and 17” radial tires.
